Kiss & Slap Bacon
Some call it “Candied Bacon” but I add our own twist on it. This sweet & savory treat with a bit of a slap is quite fantastic. The How-To will come later but here is what you need for our version of this popular treat:
What you need:
1/2 cup of brown sugar
1/2 cup of maple syrup
1 tsp of hot sauce
1 tsp of Willy B’s Kiss & Slap seasoning
1 lb of thick cut bacon
grill or smoker
How to Make the Magical Treat
- Pre-heat your Smoker (or grill) to 300 degrees 
- Lay out the bacon on a cookie sheet 
- Mix your ingredients together to create a paste (add a little maple syrup to thin out the mixture if it is too thick) 
- Brush the mixture onto the bacon, flip and coat the other side. Sprinkle a light amount of Kiss & Slap on the bacon. 
- Transfer bacon to the smoker (or grill but be sure to be off of direct heat) 
- Cook the bacon and every 7 minutes flip the bacon and re-coat the bacon until it becomes firm. Mine cooks for approx 35 min 
- Don’t let it get too crispy! 
- Transfer the bacon to a cooling tray 
- Let all of the goodness set in for about 5 min, then taste and enjoy.
